Course Enrollment

Enrolling in new classes is an exciting step in your education but if you're unsure how to start it can be a bit frustrating to say the least! Please note that classes and class features such as the grimoire, lessons, major/minor and so on are only acessable on desktop. With that out of the way here's a simple guide to help you through the process!

Navigate to the Forums: Start by opening your web browser and going to the Grey School website. Once there, click on the "School Forums" link at the top of the page.

Log In to Your Account: If prompted, log in using your GSW account credentials. If you're already signed in, you can skip to the next step.

Access the Grimoire: Click on the green GSW Grimoire icon located on the left side of the page.

Class Sign-Ups: Now that you're in your Grimoire, find and click on the "Class Sign-Ups" button at the top of the screen.

Register for Classes: You'll be taken to the class catalog page where you can search by name, filter by Level or Department, or navigate through the list alphabetically. When you find a class you're interested in, click "Register" next to the class name.

Confirm Registration: After registering for a class, return to the Grimoire by clicking on the green GSW Grimoire icon on the lower left side of the page.

Access Your Class: Under the "Enrolled Classes" section in your grimoire, click on the name of the class to access your newly-enrolled class and begin your learning journey.

Pre-reqs: Sometimes, you may encounter a class that does not allow you to sign up. In place of the usual register button, you will see a button labeled "See Pre-reqs," highlighted in gold in our example. This indicates that the class you are trying to enroll in requires completion of a prerequisite class. To view the prerequisites, hover your mouse cursor over the "i" icon located in the upper left corner of the class box, circled in yellow in the example.

When you hover your cursor over the "i" Information icon, a detailed class description will appear, highlighted in gold in the example below. This description will also include any prerequisites for the class, highlighted in green in the example below. This feature helps you understand the necessary requirements before enrolling in a specific course.

Full Courses: Occasionally, you may see a class with its registration status listed as "Course Full." This means that the class is not currently accepting new pupils but is likely to open again soon. Quick Access Tip: If you're already logged into the Grey School site, your Grimoire will appear right on the homepage. No need to visit the forums first – you can jump straight into managing your classes and continue your journey with ease!
